"I started using Mark's personal training service in February this year (2009), after an in depth meeting with him to discuss all aspects of my general and physical health and past exercise history.

It would be fair to say I was a little sceptical about the ability of such a young man, but having a medical background myself and having been an ex regular gym member, I was very impressed by the depth of his knowledge and his quiet but authoritative consideration of what would be the best training regime to suit ME, as an individual not just a number.

It was not an easy task for him, particularly as I was initially embarrassed at being a 55yr old woman, with a diverse medical history and I thought Mark would not really want to take on an older "fuddy duddy", but he soon put my mind at rest and set me on a wide and varied training programme, with an element of fun, to make the experience far more stimulating and enjoyable than the same old gym equipment with virtually no personal assistance from on site gym staff.

I can now lift weights to improve my core strength, I can box, which I would never have believed but I love it, my stamina has improved dramatically, my balance and floor exercises are improving weekly and I have greatly increased energy levels, in spite of an unfortunate break in my training due to a family bereavement.

Mark is extremely thorough, imaginative in his training ideas and very importantly interested and enthusiastic about seeing results for his clients.

After expressing my interest in receiving personal training advice you firstly met with me for around an hour to discuss my goals and aspirations

You then arranged an initial training programme to follow for a 4 week period, showing me how to utilise free weights and the necessary machines at my local gym - you did this at 8am Monday morning to fit with my schedule. You gave me perfect instruction as to the use of some equipment which, without your guidance, I would have been unable to properly utilise

You also explained the benefits of this programme and how it would fit with my martial arts classes.

"To put it bluntly I was bone idol, unfit and round! so I needed to do something. Mark was the answer. I had been suffering from pains in my upper back and neck and decided to get a sport massage off Mark to see if it would help. He turned up with his own table and towels and discussed what he was going to do and what responses he wanted from me. Mark lifted me onto the table (joking)... I used a chair to get on! and he started the massage.

By the time he had finished I knew he had sorted the problem area and it was well worth the very reasonable price.

Because I had been so impressed with this I decided to book some personal training sessions with him, like lifting the remote control properly and how to bend down correctly to tie my shoelaces and I learned quickly and benefited from it but the real benefit came from the boxercise.

The great thing about Mark is his patience and understanding. The sessions were moulded to my unfitness level so I never felt too over worked or too tired to continue after a good 2 minute work-out! To be serious for a moment, if you are suffering from sports injuries or muscular pains etc. then Mark is lad to see... he's VERY good.

If you are wanting to get fit and find going to the gym a chore then get Mark to come to you,you will not regret it and thats a promise."

"Ever since I have used Mark's Sports Massage services I have never had reoccuring muscle pains in my back!

Before I sought help off Mark, I visited my GP on numerous occasions and was always given pain killers. This didn't help at all as it only masked the pain and did not deal with the problem itself.

I then spoke to Mark and informed him of the aches and pains in my back. After performing a series of tests (unlike the Doctor) the cause was found to be an adhesion in my upper back.

Mark explained what an adhesion was and asked about my day to day activities to determine what had caused this in the first place. It turns out I was lifting something wrong at work.

Throughout the massage, Mark made me feel really relaxed and has done wonders with my back! I haven't had back aches occur since and would definately recommend his services to others."
