Mark Regan - Personal Trainer, Sports Massage Therapist and Martial Arts Coach
Mark began his training career at the age of 10 when he began studying the Martial Art Jujitsu under the tutelage of Chris Poole as a result of getting into too many fights. His dad decided he should learn to defend himself but it wasn’t until the age of 14 that he began to take his training seriously.
After years of dedication and commitment to the art of Jujitsu, Mark was awarded his 2nd Degree Black Belt under the Kenpo Chu/an Jujitsu Martial Arts Association by Grandmaster Goff Bates 9th Dan. To date, this has been his single greatest achievement and the hardest physical endeavour he has taken part in.
Shortly after this, Mark was awarded his Full Coaching certificate and was put in charge of running his own club which is located in Felling. As well as teaching the art of Jujitsu, Mark took up Kickboxing which furthered his Martial Arts skills.
As well as practicing Martial Arts, Mark is also a keen runner and has taken part in the Great North Run several times. In 2007 Mark raised money for Leukaemia Research in memory of his late Grandfather who passed away as a result of the disease.
Mark has 4 A levels one of which is Sport and Physical Education which he passed at grade A. Rather than attend University he decided to take Premier Training’s Diploma in Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy. This qualification has expanded his knowledge base and existing skills further.
Mark now enjoys working as a personal trainer and helping people reach their fitness goals by delivering fun and effective workouts combined with sound nutritional advice.
